As the earth goes through a period of unprecedented turmoil, a challenge is being thrown to Church leaders to prepare believers and make them ready to go through the crisis of the present time, rather than escape it.
The President and Apostolic leader of Congress World Breakthrough Network (C-WBN), Dr. Noel Woodroffe, said this during a conference which held in Lagos on Monday April 17th, 2017. According the Trinidad-based cleric, “only a Church full of faith is required to walk through the crisis of the present time”.
Speaking to an audience of pastors, ministry heads and other church leaders on the theme, “The Crisis, the Times and the Finish”, Dr. Woodroffe declared that “No leader in the earth can fix what has been ordained to be destroyed by God”, adding that the earth system is falling down because “sin has come to full ripeness in the earth”.
According to the President of C-WBN, a Christian organisation made up of a network of churches with presence in over one hundred countries, climate change, migration crisis, diseases, economic collapse, terrorism and a host of other problems erupting around the world are merely external manifestations of the collapse of morality.
“There is a complete moral failure in the heart of man, and a complete ethical collapse in the behaviour of man,” he pointed out. For him, the political, economic and social systems of the earth have been invaded by demonic powers, as prophesied in Rev. 18: 1-2, giving rise to the humongous calamities and chaos seen in the earth today.
“The patterns for our time can be found in the crisis in Egypt when God was preparing His people to leave the land, found in Ex. 12: 12-13. The Church must be prepared to walk through the crisis of the earth without being affected by the ‘plagues’ as in Egypt,” he explained.
He did not merely highlight the challenges of the present time, Dr. Woodroffe also enumerated what he sees as the way to remaining safe in this time of crisis. “The question that should be in our mind now is: how are we supposed to live? What are the instructions for my life, family, work, to be followed? We each need to find out what God is asking us to do in our individual lives, and do it in a haste.”
The body of Christ, he went on, has to be prophetic, know and hear and receive directions from God, as “obedience to divine command is the pathway to survival and deliverance in the crisis, as God shakes up everything according to His word in Heb. 12: 26-28”.
Citing Luke 19: 41-44, Dr. Woodroffe warned: “This is not the day to be unaware or ignorant, inaccurate, careless or unrighteous. It is important for the Church to understand the seasons that we are in,” and not for the crisis to creep upon the Church unaware.
He wrapped up his message on a note of optimism, stressing that the season is also what the Church is all about — an opportunity to manifest Christ in the earth. “As the earth system is falling down, the Kingdom of God is rising,” he declared.
